The BC1 series of rotor-arm sliding wire porcelain disk variants are designed for voltage and current adjustment in industrial electrical equipment up to 500 volts. The resistor uses a round ceramic skeleton with Kanthal copper or nickel chromium wire as resistance material, coated with high-temperature enamel and bonded to the ceramic chassis. The sliding grip and brush mechanism provides variable resistance values.
